PSA: there are six days until fall! This means it's officially acceptable to bring out the oversized sweaters, my favorite lace-up combat boots, and pretty soon, vampy lipstick. Like every other girl, I love fall. Maybe it's because I grew up in New England and always enjoyed seeing the leaves change color, going apple picking with my family and making tons of yummy baked goods. But I think I mostly enjoy fall because of the serenity it brings. Everything sort of goes quiet in the Autumn. The birds begin migrating away from us, the leaves slowly fall to the ground, the air becomes crisper, and people come together to stay warm. To me, it's the start of the best time of the year because after cozy fall evenings comes the chilly winter months and the holiday season. In fact, today marks 100 days until Christmas!

While I can't quite put my finger on why I love fall so much, I'm glad it's almost finally here. Boston can stay pretty warm throughout September but I'm thankful for the days we've had so far where I can layer my favorite sweaters and not be sweating as I walk to class. The outfit I pieced together for this blog post is a fun transitional look. It provides the coziness of fall fashion, while still being wearable on slightly warmer days thanks to the cropped tank. I love how simply adding lace-up boots gives a slight edge to an overall classic look. This is only the start of my fall outfits! I am so looking forward to piecing more together. What is your go-to fall look?
