Welcome to my blog. I document my love for fashion, beauty and this little life. Hope you enjoy!

I have been wanting to purchase the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel bronzer for quite some time now (probably for a full year) but I never mustered up the courage to do so simply because it is a pretty expensive bronzer. This baby costs $50, but let me tell you it is worth it. Let's talk about it.

Firstly, this is a cream bronzer, it is not a powder. And surprisingly enough I don't own any cream bronzers so I was very excited to try this one out! Now let's put the price in perspective. Some of my favorite bronzers are Too Faced Chocolate Soleil, NARS Laguna and Benefit Hoola. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil comes with .35 oz of product, NARS Laguna has .28 oz, and Benefit Hoola has .28 oz. These are all powder bronzers too, so product gets used up fairly quickly. Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel, on the other hand, is huge! It contains 1 oz. of cream product, so this will seriously last forever since cream takes a long time to work through. Therefore I justify my purchase. Now let's talk details.

  • Comes with a lot of product
  • Amazing consistency, not too creamy not too dense
  • Blends beautifully
  • Makes layering powder bronzer on top very easy
  • Lasts all day

  • The color is pretty light so it is not ideal for a wide range of skintones
  • Is very warm-toned so, again, it may not suit some skintones
  • Expensive
  • Bulky packaging, making it difficult to travel with

Overall I really do love this product and highly recommend checking it out if you have fair-medium skin with more yellow undertones, like I do. I love it! I typically applying it with a small, dense contour brush (I love this one by Makeup Geek!) or a small stippling brush. Below you can see it compared with Too Faced Chocolate Soleil as well as see how it looks on my face. xx Sarah
