Happy July! I hope everybody had a fantastic Fourth of July weekend. I spent mine with family on vacation in Connecticut! Now that I'm back in the city and ready to get back in the groove of things I thought I'd start the week off with my June favorites. I've compiled a list of products/items I've been loving during the month of June! Enjoy and let me know what products you've been loving lately!
Urban Decay Chill Makeup Setting Spray - I have been loving this setting spray recently! It's very refreshing which is why I've been enjoying it so much in the warmer weather. When it's hot and humid I don't always want to set my face with powder because additional layers of makeup can feel heavy in the heat and appear cakey while you sweat. This setting spray feels cooling on the skin and truly makes your makeup look a little bit more natural and less heavy. A perfect alternative to powder in the summertime! This product is also amazing for touching up your makeup throughout the day, it makes it look just applied! NOTE: for my oily skin girls out there, you may still want to powder the places you get oily or touch up with blotting paper.
L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte 24HR Foundation - I have worn this foundation almost everyday this month! If you are oily/combination skin, you are going to love this. If you have dry skin, you will hate it. This foundation is medium to full coverage (very buildable) and very matte. When I wear it, I get flawless coverage that lasts all day. This may be the only foundation I've found where I see NO oil on my face at the end of the day. Really. I do have combination skin, but my dryness goes away for the most part in the summertime, so this is perfect for my skin. I also suffer from hormonal acne that scars and takes months to fade, so the amount of coverage I get with this foundation is truly perfect. Like I said, if you have dry skin, this will cling to your dry patches so steer clear. Additionally, if you don't like full coverage foundation, you won't like this. I can feel it slightly on my face when I wear it, and for some that's a huge turn off.
NARS Dual-Intensity Blush in Jubilation - If you've been looking for that perfect intense highlight and haven't found it yet, NARS Jubilation blush is it. This blush comes with two shades, a beautiful yellow gold highlighter as well as a soft nude-peach. I haven't tried these as blushes as I think they'd be a little too shimmery and light, but they are both stunning as highlighters. This product can be used wet or dry. I use it dry as a highlighter and get insane color payoff so I am dying to try them as shadows with some MAC Fix +
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper - In the summer I sometimes don't feel like going all out with my makeup and thinking about doing a full eye look with multiple shadows can feel like too much work. My go-to eye makeup when I'm feeling lazy but still want to appear pulled together is winged eyeliner. My absolute favorite product for this lately has been Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner. Liquid liner has always been too difficult for me, and while I love a good gel liner, it can get messy and crease on me. This liner is everything. Application is so easy with its felt tip and I almost always get perfect wings.
Free People Hanna Lux Sunglasses - If you follow me on Instagram you'll have probably noticed I've been loving my Hanna Lux glasses from Free People. These are my diva sunglasses and I've worn them every day for the last month. Sunglasses have been a recent addiction of mine and I need to buy more!
Loving Tan Deluxe Bronzing Mousse in Ultra Dark - Last but certainly not least is the self tanner I have been loving. While I tan naturally fairly well, skin cancer freaks me the hell out and I don't like to risk getting an illness for a temporary tan. To each their own though, if you love laying out, by all means own your natural bronze! I just prefer to use an at home self tanner and the Loving Tan self tanner gives me the perfect deep golden bronze tan.
I hope you enjoyed! Share with me what products you've been loving lately! xx Sarah
