Review - NARS Illuminating Multiple in St. Lucia
NARS recently sent me a couple of products and one item I was most excited about receiving is this gorgeous Illuminating Multiple in the shade St. Lucia. I believe this was apart of their Eye Opening Act Spring 2015 Collection and is unfortunately a discontinued/limited edition shade, but I felt the need to post about it for a couple of reasons. Firstly, this shade is STUNNING so if you can get your hands on it anywhere seriously give it a swatch. Additionally, I wanted to talk about the formula of the Illuminating Multiples.
NARS Multiples are described on Sephora's website as "an all-in-one , cream-to-powder, multipurpose makeup stick". They can be used on the cheeks, eyes, lips or body. I have only tried this product on my cheeks and down the bridge of my nose as a blush/highlight but I'm excited to try it on my eyes and lips as well. I think I might go and purchase a bronze shade or a lighter highlight shade that could be used on my collarbones and shoulders to add a nice summery glow.
The particular shade I have, St. Lucia, is a very beautiful shimmered peachy mauve. It is stunning as a blush and a highlighter. It is best to apply this product on the cheeks/cheekbones to add a glowy highlight and I suggest avoiding any areas where you have large pores as it can slightly accentuate them. However, I just love the shimmery highlight I get from this product, as well as the natural flush it gives to my cheeks. Application is so easy - I just swipe it over my cheek a few times and blend with my fingers in a rubbing/tapping motion. The result looks so natural and lasts all day on the skin. Perfect for summer days where you want a quick flush of color but no fuss. Also so great to pop in your purse and touch up on the go!
Pictured below you will see the product blended into my skin. The top two images feature it blended over foundation (NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation) and the bottom image is how the product appears over my bare skin. Please ignore my skin at the moment - nobody is perfect! I do think this product appears more vibrant and luminous over foundation - I find myself having to apply a bit more of it on my bare face - but it's gorgeous either way.
I will definitely be picking up more of these babies! What do you guys think? xx Sarah
